Overall it was wonderful, but you should know sleep and relaxation are not included. Unfortunately a city rally wasn’t included either. Lets start from the beginning of my event. I arrived at Munich only to realize that I had given them the wrong arrival time, which only made them wake up twice to pick me up. A great first impression, don’t you think? Well, it just became one of the jokes of the event, along with a few more things. But meeting so many new people, talking,
partying was a one of a kind experience. Add to those thinks:
– trying to find the rest of your group after getting lost in an unknown city.
-Getting your umbrella broken on day one because the wind was indecisive and crazy.
-Getting drunk at international night while you are finding out about new cocktails ( guys try jagermeister with mastic liquor).
Sleep lasted around 3-4 hours every night, and that is if
you didn’t have anyone really drunk to babysit. But still even that was fun because you might speak in English with the drunk one….. not. The city was wonderful and Christmassy, since holidays where just around the corner. Don’t forget about the beer of course, Bavaria and Germany are quite famous for it and it is understandable, beer is really good there. Fun fact: from the whole L.C. Munich, we met only one German person! Really, they were anything but Germans over there.
Concerning the important stuff, the lectures where amazing: Talking with professors and professionals who worked on the field of embedded automotive
systems, visiting companies, seeing the real work environment and talking about ongoing projects, was really inspiring. Last but not least IMW: Well, that was two wonderful days in the Alps, full of snow and snowball-fights, and some sleep eventually.
Thank you guys for this amazing week!
