In this workshop two members of our LC participated, Jason and Katerina. Let’s read their stories!
When I first read the event posting on eestec.net, I had a feeling that this event would be perfect for me. A very interesting topic in a country I wanted to visit anyway, what else could I ask for? Well, I am happy to say that my gut feeling was absolutely correct. From the very interesting workshops to the coal mine visit, I had a wonderful week, surrounded by wonderful people, both from Poland as well as other countries. The organizers had thought everything out and made sure every second of our trip was worth it. The academic part was well planned and the companies (Skygate and Groupon) that provided the workshops were all well-prepared. I can definitely say that I learned a lot more than I originally expected to learn. In addition to the workshops, the organizers made sure that no day could even remotely be called “boring”. Among other activities, I got the chance to explore a defunct coal mine in Zabrze and try indoors climbing in Gliwice. All in all, I am extremely grateful to everyone who made this beautiful week possible.

Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived one of the greatest experiences of her life in a country named Poland.
And with these words the journey begins.
You want more? OK, let me tell you the story.
To begin, the people that I met there was amazing. Starting from the organizers who were all the time there for us, until the other participants who I’m really glad that I met and had as a company during my seven-day adventure. I couldn’t ask for more.
Secondly, the activities that was prearranged for us where unique. It was the first time I climbed a wall, I got to know a city by a really joyful way (city rally), I had the experience of coal mining…
As for the parties and the international night, they were very cool with eating, drinking and dancing. I can continue by telling you every little detail, but that will take an eternity, so to put an end I will only tell you about the academic part and the chance that I had to attend lectures, take part in big companies, meet professionals who worked there and see from the inside a real working environment, that gave me strength and aspiration…
And like the little girl said “My tale is told and it is the truth”.
P.S.: Again, a huge thank you for this dreamy experience and this amazing week that I will never forget!!
